How to install the Telemetry Tool on Linux
Here are the steps.
- Download the install .zip file
- Unzip to any location on your system:
- For testing, e.g. to Telemetry at Home
- In the install directory's bin directory, untar the linux.tar.gz. It will create the linux/bin directory there.
- Now on Terminal cd to the Tool's Install directory and type
bash runLinux.sh
.
- The launcher should start.
This will setup all directories etc. On first run the Tool will also ask for data location etc.
- If the launcher started and you could start the Tool, then you have to setup the games to send data to the Telemetry Tool.
- For F1 games, just set the UDP Telemetry IP address to be your linux computers address in home network.
- For other games, it might be easier to run also a copy of the Telemetry Tool on the gaming computer and use the UDP redirect to send the data to the linux. See the help for the instructions on the UDP/TCP redirect.
