How to install the Telemetry Tool on Mac

Here are the steps.

1. Download the install .zip file
2. Unzip to any location on your system:
• For testing, e.g. to Desktop or to Donwloads
• For proper use, unzip into Applications
3. In the install dir, create under the 'bin' directory new directory 'mac'.
4. Download the proper Java JRE-FX for your system.
5. Open the .zip or .tar.gz, there in the compressed file, go to 'zulu21.30...' -> 'zulu-21.jre' -> 'Contents' -> 'Home' and then unzip the directories an dfiles to the 'mac' directory you created above.
6. Open Terminal and change to the Telemetry Tool install directory. Now type zsh runMac.sh or on older systems bash runMac.sh.
7. The launcher should start. This will setup all directories etc. On first run the Tool will also ask for data location etc.
8. If the launcher started and you could start the Tool, then you have to setup the games to send data to the Telemetry Tool.
• For F1 games, just set the UDP Telemetry IP address to be your mac computers address in home network.
• For other games, it might be easier to run also a copy of the Telemetry Tool on the gaming computer and use the UDP redirect to send the data to the mac. See the help for the instructions on the UDP/TCP redirect.
